USA 10. A CHELSEA MORNING ON THE HIGH LINE

Saturday September 6, 2014 continued

"Woke up, it was a Chelsea morning, and the first thing that I saw. Was the sun through yellow curtains, and a rainbow on the wall". For the young folk, these are a few of the words from a Joni Mitchell song.

Yes, we have blogged about the High Line before... But it was winter then so we had to come again to see it with the leaves on. If you care for facts and figures you can visit our previous blog at; http://lloydandalex.blogspot.com/2012/12/6-high-line.html

If not, just look at the pictures.

The Standard Hotel

The end of the line. For those who don't know, the High Line was once ....

As it was
And as it is today. The rail tracks enveloped in landscape.

On this hot Chelsea morning the shade was very welcome.

Part of the walking path is a water feature

The Chelsea neighborhood.

High Line Market.

Under the Line

We stopped briefly to visit the Chelsea Market.

Industrial buildings repurposed into a bustling market.
Back on track, it certainly dosn't feel like New York City.
