USA 17. WALLKILL WATCHTOWER FARM TOUR

Friday September 12, 2014 continued

In the old days farming was one way that the organization used to save dedicated funds and feed the Bethel family. Whereas most Branches including Australasia have greatly reduced or even eliminated their farm operations for economical and practical reasons, Wallkill is still required to have a farm to comply with it's zoning.

So we were taken on a coach tour of some of the extensive farm which includes beef cattle and various crops.

A few of the many farm buildings. Hard to take good photos from a moving bus but you get the gist...

This faithful older brother has been at Wallkill since the very early days. He provided a great commentary.

Some of the temporary accommodations for the large number of volunteer construction workers who are helping to expand Wallkill, Patterson and construct the new world headquarters at Warwick.

This graveyard (sometimes referred to as "the launch pad") contains the remains of many faithful Bethelites who have passed away.

A field of solar panels provides power to some outbuildings.

The vineyard.
The apple orchid.
