NEPAL 2. THINGS SEEM TO START RATHER EARLY IN NEPAL

Everything in Nepal seems to start early. At least that's how it seems to us. It's perfectly normal for the locals...

The Bethel day starts early... morning worship starts at 6 am

Mid week meetings start early... 5 pm so that the friends can get home whilst public transport still works.

The weekend starts early... Friday and Saturday. Then it's back to work on Sunday.

Weekend field service starts early... 7:30 am group

Walking to meet the group.

Doing the washing.

Field service group for the Memorial campaign. There are a lot of Japanese friends. They are amazingly adaptable people and seem to learn the Nepali language very quickly. Same grammar rules as Japanese. And they can live in very humble accommodations. An example to us all.

Visiting the vegetable oil factory. I really hope I don't eat anything produced here...

Chai tea in a street side tea shop after field service.

Chai tea and a Nepali style doughnut. Very nice. I wonder where they get their vegetable oil??? Best not to think about it...

Then we walk back to bethel.

Past the grandad who babysits in his shop. Nepali people remind us of Myanmar and Cambodian people we have met in our travels before. Generally friendly and quick with a smile.

And past the little Nepali boy who lives down the lane from Bethel...
Nobody seems to mind that everything starts early. They don't seem to mind anything really...
And since the day started so early, now we have time to do some sightseeing...
