5. CONCERT OF THE FALL

From Sunday October 20, 2013

Firstly, thank you to the many friends (most of whom we have not yet met) from all corners of the planet (as if the planet has corners) who added encouraging comments to our blog about the revised NWT. It is a pleasure for us to get to know some of our dear and hard working Japanese brothers and sisters who have done so much to print, bind and ship our beautiful new silver Bibles. All praise to to our Grand Creator, Jehovah.

No blogs for the past few weeks due to our rather busy work schedule. Anyway...

Meet our new friend Jun. A few weeks ago Jun invited us to a special musical evening arranged by a group of musical friends from several local congregations.
The program.
About 50 of us gathered in a local community hall, sitting on tatami mats to listen to an array of skillful musicians.
Violists. Got to love the mask.
My favorite, the shakuhachi. Interesting coincidence. We met this very couple the week before and put them in our blog. They were street witnessing at Ebina train station.
Another fabulous Japanese traditional instrument, the Koto.

The string section.

The cellist.
The opera singer.
The cheerful guitarist.
The "photo opp".
Alexandra with a little friend.
Blair demonstrating his ukulele prowess.
Two sisters who are visiting from their assignment in Thailand.
Thank you to all musicians for putting on such a fine concert and to Jun for for inviting us to a very unique gathering.
