17. ROAD TRIP TO VERMONT

Monday December 31, 2012

Once again we find ourselves saying good bye to people we have come to love after a very short visit. The truth is that's in The Truth we don't say good bye because when you hope to live forever you just know you'll meet again ... One day.

Thank you Cameron, John and Cindy for adopting us and taking such good care of us.

Their beautiful home
And backyard
The neighborhood
Rural architecture
Somewhere here we crossed the state line from New Hampshire to Vermont. "Freedom and Unity" is the official motto of the U.S. state of Vermont and the African Nation of Tanzania. Just thought you should know this for Trivial Pursuit.

Ok, ok, enough with the snow pictures. Anyone would think we never saw snow before... We do have snow in Australia you know. It's just that you have to go to the snow, whereas here the snow comes to you.
Wait a minute???
Lets have a nice warm snack
If Ben & Jerry are reading this, perhaps you would like to cut us in on the profits...
Or at least pay for my tooth that broke on the Chunky Monkey... No joke...that took the smile off my face...
Time to change drivers.
Town of Stowe

Always the links to Greece and Rome

Local fauna
I must say, I just love that American farming architecture
And now for somthing completely different...
Did we take a wrong turn and end up in Provence, France?
Spoiled again...
Meet our newest friends from Just outside Montgomery Center, Vermont. It's Laurie and Les and as you can probably guess, they too took us in from the cold and made us rather comfortable. A delicious meal and an architectural feast for the eyes... We always were Francophiles ever since the 504 and our visit to Paris. Hi to our dear friends in Paris...
Not that Les and Laurie are French. They are both from Vermont. Having enjoyed many International Construction projects together they have settled down to pioneer in their home state. As a special RBC assignment they recently went to Japan (along with Allan that we met in Boston the other day) to offer encouragement to the brothers who are recovering from the tsunami. There's plenty to do in the Lord's work.
Again... Thank you Kim for sharing your friends with us...
