2. THE BROOKLYN HIGH LIFE

The truth is, our life in Brooklyn Heights has been, lets see, intense, exciting, exhausting, hectic, and a whole lot more, but never underwhelming. We have met up with a lot of old friends and made a lot of new ones.

And this is our breakfast table at 90 Sands. They all made us feel so at home. Great way to start the day before donning the hat, scarf and gloves to walk across to the office...

The office buildings where I have been, the first week with BPG (Branch Planning Group) in the 50 building, the little brick building in the centre there. And the second week with DBD (Design Build) in the 30 building behind.

Whilst I have been sweating it out in the classroom, Alexandra has been working in the laundry with 100 new friends. Next week the Brooklyn laundry takes on all of the laundry from Walkill while their facility is being renovated.

Now that's a washing machine...

1. NEW YORK, NEW YORK

WELL WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THOSE PROMISED BLOGS? You know it takes around a week to recuperate from a 24 hour journey... Then there's a little thing about a rather intense week of training for me and slaving in a hot laundry for Alexandra. And a social life... Well, whatever, but there has not been a moment to sit still since we arrived.

Anyway here is a few photos from our first weekend in the big apple.

The view from our room on the 18th floor of 90 Sands street. Looking east. The Triple glazed windows come in handy for that relentless traffic and train noise. That's the on ramp for the Manhatten bridge in the foreground. Behind us on the other side of the building is the on ramp for the Brooklyn bridge.

WHAT JET-LAG?; We are in New York so lets get going!!!

First stop, The Metropolitan Museum of Art for a JW Bible tour entitled INTEGRITY.

Alexandra is a bit disappointed that there is no snow. Truth is though, it's not too bad. Temperature around 3 to 8 degrees.
